Ingredients

  • 10Roma (plum) tomatoes – peeled, seeded and crushed

  • ½smallonion, chopped

  • 1teaspoonminced garlic

  • ¼cupolive oil

  • 1teaspoondried oregano

  • 1teaspoondried basil

  • 1teaspoonground cayenne pepper, or to taste

  • 1teaspoonsalt

  • 1teaspoonground black pepper

  • 1pinchcinnamon

Cooking Directions

  1. Place tomatoes, onion, garlic, and olive oil in a slow cooker. Season with oregano, basil, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon.

  2. Cover and cook on Low until desired consistency and flavor is reached, about 10 to 15 hours.
