Ingredients

  • 1cupbutter, softened

  • 1cuppacked brown sugar

  • ½cupwhite sugar

  • 2eggs

  • 2teaspoonsvanilla extract

  • 1 ¼cupsall-purpose flour

  • 2teaspoonsground cinnamon

  • 1teaspoonsalt

  • ½teaspoonbaking soda

  • 3cupsquick cooking oats

  • 1cupchopped walnuts

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in one egg at a time, then stir in vanilla.

  3. Combine flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in oats and walnuts until just blended. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden, about 12 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
