Ingredients

  • 1poundbacon

  • 2cupsbroccoli florets, chopped

  • 2cupscauliflower florets, chopped

  • 1carrot, chopped

  • ¼cupchopped green onions

  • ½cupmayonnaise

  • ¼cupdistilled white vinegar

  • 1tablespoonsour cream

  • 1pinchgarlic powder

  • 1pinchdried basil

  • ¼cupshredded Cheddar cheese

  • 1tablespoonchopped fresh cilantro, or to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Chop and set aside.

  2. Combine broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, and green onions in a large bowl.

  3. Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, and sour cream in a separate bowl. Beat until smooth. Season with garlic powder and basil.

  4. Pour dressing over vegetables and toss to coat evenly. Chill until flavors meld, about 1 hour.

  5. Serve salad garnished with Cheddar cheese and cilantro.

Cook’s Note:

Use dried oregano instead of basil if preferred.
