Ingredients

  • 1tablespoonbutter

  • ½cupfinely diced onion

  • 1teaspoonminced garlic

  • ½cupchopped fresh green chile peppers

  • 1(5 ounce) canchunk chicken

  • 1 ½teaspoonsground cumin

  • 1(10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

  • 1 ¼cupshalf-and-half cream

  • 1cupshredded Cheddar cheese

  • ¼cupsour cream

Cooking Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté onion until translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in garlic, green chiles, chicken meat, and cumin. Cook until flavors are blended, about 1 minute. Stir in cream of chicken soup and half-and-half. Cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.

  2. Ladle hot soup into bowls. Top with cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
