Ingredients

  • 2cupsunsalted butter, softened

  • 2cupswhite sugar

  • 2cupspacked brown sugar

  • 4eggs

  • 2teaspoonsvanilla extract

  • 5cupsrolled oats

  • 4cupsall-purpose flour

  • 2teaspoonsbaking powder

  • 2teaspoonsbaking soda

  • 1teaspoonsalt

  • 4cupssemisweet chocolate chips

  • 3cupschopped walnuts

  • 8ouncesfinely grated chocolate bar

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

  2. Cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.

  3. Pulverize oats in a blender.

  4. Mix pulverized oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Stir into butter mixture until combined.

  5. Add chocolate chips, walnuts, and chocolate and stir until combined.

  6. Place golfball-sized balls of dough onto greased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven, working in batches as needed, until golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake.
