Ingredients

  • 1cupfinely chopped fresh pineapple

  • ¼cupfinely chopped red onion

  • ¼cupred bell pepper, chopped

  • 1jalapeño  pepper, seeded and minced

  • 1tablespoonfinely chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1tablespoonlime juice

  • 1clovegarlic, minced (Optional)

  • ½teaspoonwhite sugar

  • ½teaspoonsalt

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix pineapple, red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, sugar, and salt together in a bowl until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour so flavors can meld.

Recipe Tip

You can substitute papaya, mango, or even yellow bell pepper for the pineapple.
