Ingredients

  • 1cupolive oil

  • ½cupwhite wine vinegar

  • 1clovegarlic, minced

  • 1teaspoonchopped fresh parsley

  • 1teaspoonchopped fresh thyme

  • 1teaspoonchopped fresh chives

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 1pinchcayenne pepper, or to taste

  • 1pinchherbes de Provence

  • 1tablespoonmayonnaise, or more to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Place olive oil, vinegar, garlic, parsley, thyme, chives, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and herbes de Provence into a nearly empty mayonnaise jar containing at least 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.

  2. Cover the jar with its lid and shake vigorously to make a creamy dressing, about 2 minutes. Pour into a serving dish.

Chef’s Note:

If you prefer a creamier dressing, add a couple more tablespoons of mayonnaise, some sour cream, buttermilk, or whatever!
