Ingredients

  • 1poundground beef

  • 1onion, diced

  • 1egg

  • ¼cupdry bread crumbs

  • 1 ½cupswater

  • 1cuppacked brown sugar

  • ¼cupdistilled white vinegar

  • 3tablespoonssoy sauce

  • 3tablespoonsall-purpose flour

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix beef, onion, egg, and bread crumbs together in a medium bowl until well combined.

  2. Shape mixture into balls, about 1 1/2-inches in size.

  3. Cook meatballs in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until evenly browned, about 10 minutes; set aside.

  4. Stir water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and flour together in a large saucepan until well combined.

  5. Add meatballs and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring often, for 30 minutes.
