Ingredients

  • 1tablespoonvegetable oil

  • 1onion, diced

  • 2clovesgarlic, minced

  • 1poundground turkey

  • 3(15 ounce) cansblack beans, undrained

  • 1(14.5 ounce) cancrushed tomatoes

  • 1 ½tablespoonschili powder

  • 1tablespoondried oregano

  • 1tablespoondried basil leaves

  • 1tablespoonred wine vinegar

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large heavy pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. Add turkey; cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, and vinegar. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until flavors are well blended, about 1 hour.
