Deliciously Creamy DIY Pop Pops!

This vanilla popsicle is a refreshing treat our family enjoys on hot summer days. Diet soda can be used to cut calories. We often refer to them as Pop Pops.

Ingredients

  • 1(20 ounce) bottlevanilla cream soda

  • 2cupswater

  • ½cupwhite sugar

  • ¼teaspoonvanilla extract

Cooking Directions

  1. Pour cream soda into a bowl and whisk until no longer bubbly; set aside.

  2. Heat water and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Stir sugar mixture and vanilla into cream soda in the bowl.

  3. Pour mixture into small plastic cups or ice pop molds, then insert wooden ice pop sticks. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

Tips

An electric mixer whisks this recipe nicely.

Wooden sticks absorb moisture and make the ice pops easier to unmold.
