Unbelievably Delicious Apple Pork Chops: A Mouthwatering Recipe

I started making these apple pork chops a few years ago after apple picking with my children. I was looking for something different to do with some of the apples and this sure is delicious! We all enjoy it and hope you do too.

Ingredients

  • 2tablespoonsvegetable oil

  • ½cupchopped onion

  • 4(1/2-inch thick) pork chops

  • ½teaspoonsalt

  • ground black pepper to taste

  • 2apples – peeled, cored and sliced

  • ¾cuphot water

  • 2tablespoonsbrown sugar

  • ½teaspoonground mustard

  • teaspoonground cloves

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté onion until tender, about 1 minute. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork chops on both sides.

  3. Place chops in an 8×12-inch baking dish and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Cover chops with apples and cooked onion.

  4. Combine water, brown sugar, mustard, and cloves in a small bowl. Pour over chops.

  5. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
