Ingredients

  • 1poundground pork sausage

  • 6cupscoleslaw mix

  • 2carrots, peeled and grated

  • ¼cupchopped green onions

  • 4clovesgarlic, minced

  • 1tablespoonlow-sodium soy sauce

  • 1tablespoonsesame oil

  • 2tablespoonsshelled sunflower seeds (Optional)

  • 1tablespoongrated ginger root

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir pork sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes.

  2. Add coleslaw mix, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender, 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in sunflower seeds and ginger.

Recipe Tip

You can substitute shredded cabbage for the coleslaw mix.
