3largecarrots, trimmed and peeled

Fill a pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Add carrots and boil until cooked but not too soft, 5 to 8 minutes. Carefully remove carrots and cut in half crosswise.

Place each carrot half in a zip-top bag. Put in the freezer until frozen, at least 2 hours. Store in the freezer until ready to use.
Cook’s Note:
When baby is teething, take one out and give them a frozen carrot. The carrot defrosts as baby chews but melts in their mouth because it is cooked.
