Ingredients

  • 2cupsfrozen blueberries

  • ¼cupwhite sugar

  • 2teaspoonsalmond extract

  • 1teaspoonlemon juice (Optional)

  • 1teaspoonvanilla extract

  • ½cupall-purpose flour

  • cupbrown sugar

  • cupwhite sugar

  • ½teaspoonground cinnamon

  • ¼teaspoonground nutmeg

  • teaspoonsalt

  • ½stickcold butter, cubed

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Toss blueberries, sugar, almond extract, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Pour into two 6-ounce ramekins.

  3. Mix flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in another medium bowl. Cut in butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle evenly over blueberry mixture.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until topping is golden brown and blueberries are bubbling, about 25 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature.
