½teaspoonground mace

2poundsbutternut squash – peeled, seeded, and cut into 1/2 inch slices

2largeapples – cored, and cut into 1/2 inch slices
Cooking Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Stir together brown sugar, butter, flour, salt, and mace in a bowl.

Arrange squash in an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with slices of apple, then sprinkle with brown sugar mixture. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven until squash is tender, 50 to 60 minutes.
