Ingredients

  • 1cupketchup

  • 1cupwater

  • ¼cupsweet pickle relish

  • 1tablespoonbrown sugar

  • 1tablespooncider vinegar

  • 1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce

  • ½teaspoonliquid smoke flavoring

  • ¼teaspoonground cinnamon

  • 1pinchground black pepper

  • 1pinchgarlic salt

  • 1poundchipped ham

  • 6hamburger buns

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine ketchup, water, relish, brown sugar, cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a large saucepan. Season with liquid smoke, cinnamon, black pepper, and garlic salt. Bring to a simmer over low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

  2. Shred ham and stir into the mixture. Simmer longer if desired, then serve hot on hamburger buns.
