Cook’s Note

For a lighter version of this cobbler, the butter can be reduced to 1/4 cup and the oil can be reduced to 3/4 cup. In talking with my mother-in-law (who gave me the recipe), she says she doesn’t use the full amount of butter or oil and it is just as good.
