Ingredients

  • 2cupsall-purpose flour

  • 2teaspoonsbaking powder

  • 2teaspoonsground cinnamon

  • ½teaspoonground cloves

  • salt to taste

  • 1 ½cupswhite sugar

  • 3largeeggs

  • ¾cupvegetable oil

  • 2(4 ounce) jarsplum baby food

  • 1cupchopped walnuts

  • ¼cupapplesauce

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.

  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.

  3. Combine sugar, eggs, and oil in a large bowl; beat until smooth. Mix in baby food and nuts. Beat in flour mixture alternately with applesauce until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
