Ingredients

  • 1cucumber, sliced into thin strips

  • 2tablespoonschopped fresh cilantro

  • 1lime, juiced

  • 1clovegarlic, minced

  • 1teaspoonsambal oelek (chile paste) (Optional)

  • 1pinchred pepper flakes, or to taste

  • salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix cucumber, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, sambal oelek, red pepper flakes, and salt together in a bowl until evenly combined; allow to sit until flavors blend, at least 10 minutes.

Cook’s Note:

Cucumber can also be thinly sliced into circles using a mandolin, if a different shape is desired.
