Ingredients

  • 3cupsall-purpose flour

  • 3teaspoonsbaking powder

  • ½cupunsalted butter, softened

  • ½cupwhite sugar

  • 3largeeggs

  • 2teaspoonsvanilla extract

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two baking sheets.

  2. Combine flour and baking powder in a bowl.

  3. Beat butter and sugar in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Mix in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla. Gradually stir in flour mixture until well blended.

  4. Roll walnut-sized portions of dough into small ropes. Shape each rope into a loop and press the ends to seal. Place 2 inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until firm and golden at the edges, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
