Ingredients

  • 1(15.25 ounce) packageyellow cake mix

  • 4largeeggs

  • 1(8 ounce) cartonsour cream

  • ¾cupvegetable oil

  • ½cupwater

  • 1cupbrown sugar

  • ½teaspoonground cinnamon

  • 2cupsconfectioners’ sugar

  • ¼cupmilk

  • 1teaspoonvanilla extract

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.

  2. Whisk together cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water in a large bowl until smooth.

  3. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over batter.

  4. Pour remaining batter on top; gently swirl batter a few times with a table knife.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 40 minutes.

  6. Make icing: Stir together confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and runny.
