Ingredients

  • 1 servingcooking spray

  • 2poundscubed beef stew meat

  • ¼cupall-purpose flour

  • 1tablespooncracked black pepper

  • ½teaspoonsalt

  • 4potatoes, peeled and diced

  • 1 ½cupsred wine, or more to taste

  • 1(12 ounce) packagebaby carrots

  • 6slicesthick-cut bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch strips

  • 3stalkscelery, diced

  • 1onion, diced

  • 1tablespoonminced garlic

  • 1tablespoonseasoning salt (such as Johnny’s®)

  • 2bay leaves

Cooking Directions

  1. Spray a slow cooker with cooking spray and place meat inside.

  2. Mix flour, pepper, and salt together in a small bowl. Pour over the meat and stir to coat. Stir in potatoes, red wine, carrots, bacon, celery, onion, garlic, seasoning salt, and bay leaves.

  3. Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours or High for 4 to 6 hours.
