Ingredients

  • 3cupsbread flour

  • 3tablespoonswhite sugar

  • 1teaspoonsalt

  • ¼cupdry milk powder

  • 1cupwarm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

  • 2tablespoonsbutter, softened

  • 1(.25 ounce) packageactive dry yeast

  • 1largeegg white

  • 2tablespoonswater

Cooking Directions

  1. Place bread flour, sugar, salt, milk powder, 1 cup warm water, butter, and yeast into a bread machine in the order listed or follow the order recommended by the manufacturer if different. Select Dough cycle; press Start.

  2. Meanwhile, lightly grease a baking sheet.

  3. Remove dough from the machine, deflate, and turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces, form into rounds, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Cover with a damp cloth; let rise until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.

  4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  5. Mix together egg white and 2 tablespoons water in a small bowl; brush lightly onto the tops of risen rolls.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven until rolls are golden brown, about 15 minutes.
