Ingredients

  • 2 ½cupsall-purpose flour

  • 1 ½teaspoonsbaking powder

  • 1teaspoonbaking soda

  • 1cupsemisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 ½cupswhite sugar, divided

  • 1teaspoonground cinnamon

  • ½cupbutter, softened

  • 2largeeggs

  • 1cupsour cream

  • 1teaspoonvanilla extract

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.

  2. Stir flour, baking powder, and baking soda together in a medium bowl. Combine chocolate chips, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

  3. Cream remaining 1 cup sugar and butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer. Mix in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla until well combined. Mix in flour mixture until incorporated; batter will be thick.

  4. Spread 1/2 of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the chocolate chip mixture over top. Repeat layers once more.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and place onto a wire rack to cool.
