Ingredients

  • 4(4 ounce) filletsbarramundi (Asian sea bass)

  • 1tablespoonolive oil, or as needed

  • 1cupdried bread crumbs

  • ½teaspoonseafood seasoning (such as Old Bay)

  • ½teaspoongarlic powder

  • ½teaspoononion powder

  • ½teaspoonlemon zest

  • 1pinchdried thyme

  • 1cupmelted butter

  • ¼cuplemon juice

  • ¼cupwhite wine

  • 2tablespoonschopped fresh basil, or to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. Brush fish fillets with olive oil.

  3. Make topping: Mix together bread crumbs, seafood seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, and thyme on a large plate until well combined.

  4. Press fillets into bread crumb mixture to coat all sides. Arrange coated fillets on a baking sheet.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Flip fillets and continue baking until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 10 minutes more.

  6. Make sauce: Stir together melted butter, lemon juice, white wine, and basil in a small bowl until well combined.

  7. Drizzle sauce over fish to serve.

Recipe Tip

You can coat the fish fillets with cooking spray instead of brushing them with oil.
