Recipe Details
Ingredients
-
1(6 to 7 pound)picnic ham
-
1(15.25 ounce) canpineapple rings, juice drained and reserved
-
1(16 ounce) cancola-flavored carbonated beverage (such as Pepsi)
Cooking Directions
-
Place ham in slow cooker with the fattier side facing down. Use toothpicks to attach pineapple rings to the ham; pour over pineapple juice. Pour cola into the slow cooker.
-
Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 10 hours.
Cook’s Note
In my opinion, Pepsi works best.
I prefer to leave my ham whole once it’s done cooking, but others have said they like to shred the ham into chunks and mix the cooked pineapple with it.
