Ingredients

  • 3poundsyellow summer squash, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • ¾cupdry bread crumbs

  • ½cupchopped onion

  • 2largeeggs

  • ½cupbutter, melted

  • 1tablespoonwhite sugar

  • 1teaspoonsalt

  • ½teaspoonblack pepper

  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  3. Place squash into a large saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Boil until soft, 10 to 15 minutes.
