Ingredients

  • 2cupsroot beer

  • 2cupsketchup

  • ½cupno-pulp orange juice

  • ¼cupWorcestershire sauce

  • ¼cupmolasses

  • 1teaspoonground ginger

  • 1teaspoonhot paprika

  • 1teaspoonchipotle chile powder

  • 2teaspoonsgarlic powder

  • 2teaspoonsonion powder

  • ½teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix root beer, ketchup, orange juice, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, ginger, paprika, chile powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper flakes together in a saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.

Tips

You can use a cola-flavored carbonated beverage or a pepper-type soda instead of root beer if desired.
