Ingredients

  • 1(12 ounce) packagevanilla wafers, finely crushed

  • 2 ⅓cupsflaked coconut, divided

  • 1cupfinely chopped walnuts

  • 1(14 ounce) cansweetened condensed milk

  • ¼cuprum

Cooking Directions

  1. Toss crushed wafers, 1 1/3 cups coconut, and walnuts together in a large bowl. Stir in condensed milk and rum; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

  2. Place remaining 1 cup coconut in a bowl. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in coconut to coat. Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.

Tips

Roll in confectioners’ sugar instead of coconut if you prefer.
