Ingredients

  • ½cupolive oil

  • cupsoy sauce

  • cupbrown sugar

  • cupfresh lemon juice

  • cupWorcestershire sauce

  • 6clovesgarlic, minced

  • 3tablespoonshot sauce (Optional)

  • 3tablespoonsdried basil

  • 1 ½tablespoonsdried parsley

  • 1tablespoonred pepper flakes (Optional)

  • 2teaspoonsfreshly ground black pepper

Cooking Directions

  1. Blend together olive oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, hot sauce, basil, parsley, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a blender until smooth.

Tips

To use marinade, pour marinade over meat; cover and refrigerate for 3 to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

If you wish to baste meat with marinade during cooking, boil marinade first to destroy any harmful bacteria it may have picked up from the raw meat.
